Hello Ken,
My name is Paul Timothy Joyce, and I am relative to the Shirley family by birth on my mothers side (she was Gwendoline Shirley).
My maternal grandmother was Gladys Shirley daughter of Edward Shirley who married Agnes White in 1881. I remember my Grandmother Gladys, and my Great Uncle Albert Peter (Gladys brother) very well, who both lived with us when I was young. I have quite a few photos of the Shirley clan going back to the 1800's.

I am very interested in the family history resultant of the marriage between Edward and Agnes who were:

Lily, George Edward, Hilda, John, Albert Peter, William and Gladys and so would much appreciate access to all and any information you might have about them, and their forbears.

-----------------

Nearly all the Shirleys prior to about 1900 lived in and around Little Missenden In Buckinghamshire (about 30 miles North West of London), since then they are fairly scattered. The branch that I am particularly interested in (Albert Peter, Gladys and other siblings) started to live in Kilburn in London soon after the First World War. This is where I was born.
