Has taken a while but have finally got info. on my Shirley connection and am wondering if anybody else is looking for my shirleys too.

My line begins with:

Edward Shirley m. Barbara living in Meckworth, Derby (prob. b. 1720s/30s). They have 3 kids:
Edward (who goes to America)
William (who goes to Manchester)
Arthur (not much known prob. b. 1750s). Arthur has 2 kids:
George Shirley (b. 1786; d.1857; moves to Tamworth, Staff. and marries Mary Hunter; bunch of kids).
Elizabeth who marries a William Freeman.

Would be keen to find another Derby Shirley hunter.

Hi i have recently found the Surname Shirley pop up in my Tree. My GGG Grandmother was Mary Shirley b1811 in Tamworth, Staffordshire, i think that her father was Edward and mother Sarah. She married Joseph Redman. i don't know if you have come across this shirley family before, but if you have any info on them i would be greatful.

They have 3 kids: Edward (who goes to America) William (who goes to Manchester) Arthur (not much known prob. b. 1750s). Arthur has 2 kids: George Shirley (b. 1786; d.1857; moves to Tamworth, Staff. and marries Mary Hunter; bunch of kids). Elizabeth who marries a William Freeman. My GGG Grandmother was Mary Shirley b1811 in Tamworth, Staffordshire, i think that her father was Edward and mother Sarah.
