Richard Brent was a sheriff of Gloucester Co. England in 1614.

He inherited the manor of Admington in Gloucester Co. England in 1618 and conveyed it to Lork Brook, his wifes cousin.

He subscribed to the building of the bridge at Stratford Upon Avon.

1. George Brent  1602, of Defford, Worcester Co. m. Anne Peyton, daughter of John Peyton.

(1). George Brent 1640, d. 1694-1700 Woodstock, Stafford Co. Virginia. He was a Roman Catholic. H was an agent for proprietors of the Northern Neck of Virginia.

He married 1st. Elizabeth Greene who died in child birth in 1686. She is buried in the Aquia Cemetery. She was the daughter of Captain William Greene.

He married 2nd, Mary Sewall who also died in child birth in 1693. She was the widow of Col. William Chandler of Charles Co. Maryland. She was the daughter of Henry Sewall , Secretary of Maryland and his wife Jane Lowe, Lady Baltimore.
