James Minge I, of Prince George Co. VA (was a friend to Nathanial Bacon) son: son: James Minge II m. Amadea HARRISON (the Harrison name again) dau of Robt Harrison, gent of York, whose other dau Francis Harrison married Thomas SHANDS. Valentine Minge (ADMINISTRATOR OF JOHN SHIRLEY'S ESTATE) was the son of James Minge II. Valentine's brother, James III, went to Surry CO. VA and to NC. He appointed Col. Edward WYATT as his atty in Pr. Geo. (THIS WYATT ALSO APPRIAISED SHIRLEY'S ESTATE IN 1719.) In 1712, John Shirley witnessed a sale of land from James Minge II to ... (Ruth Minge relinquished dower). Also witnessing was Richard SHAND. Later William SHAND sued Valentine Minge, admin of Shirley estate, over debt by Shirley in 1719. John Shirley witnessed a power of atty from Ruth Minge to.... in SURRY VA 1712. ______________________________ The Minges, Harrisons, and Shands were very close.
