To Richard Crofts the younger house where my daughter Mary Bishop dwells. Cottage to Joan Bishop my grandchild. To Francis Shurley my grandchild, son of my son Ralph Shurley after decease of my wife my house etc called The George. To Richard Bishop son of Mary. Grandchild Elizabeth Bishop. To my brother Daniel Shurley his children every one. To the poor of Brayles. Wit: Bar: Bishop, John Presteth. To Francis Shurley the house on Malt Mill. married Elizabeth Eddon on Jun 27 1591 at Brailes Parish Warwickshire. She was identified in the 1620 Lay Subsidy as being a papist recusant who had not received communion for the prior year.
