Nov 9th, 1937 in Hawera, NZ. He married Eleanor Cole Jun 11th,
1884, at New Plymouth, NZ. She was born Mar 30th, 1866, at New
Plymouth, NZ and died Aug 18th, 1946 at Hawera NZ.
Henry Shirley and Eleanor Cole were the parents of:
(1). Andrew Leonard born Mar 28th, 1885 at New Plymouth, NZ,
died Sep 20th, 1886 at New Plymouth, NZ and was buried at the
Te Henui Cemetery, New Plymouth.
(2). Charles Henry Norman born Mar 5th 1887 at Woodleigh Farm,
New Plymouth, NZ. Died Aug 29th 1980, at Ngahua Home, Hawera,
NZ and buried Sep 2nd at the Hawera Cemetery. Never married.
(3). Sidney Wilford Williamson born Aug 14th 1889 at New Plymouth,
NZ. Died Aug 24th, 1972 at the Rangimaria House, New Plymouth,
NZ and was buried Aug 26th 1972 at Te Henui, New Plymouth, NZ.
Married Dec 27th 1929 at Hawera, NZ to Gladys Irene Victoria
Mercer. (1 daughter).
(4). Frank Albert born Apr 15th 1892 at Woodleigh, New Plymouth,
NZ, died Jan 3rd 1975 at New Plymouth, NZ and was buried Jan
6th 1975 in the RSA section, Te Henui Cemetery, New Plymouth.
Married Ethel McConnell Dec 15th 1920 at New Plymouth. She was
born Apr 25th 1898 and died May 27th 1982. (2 sons and 3 daughters).
(5). Hercules Harold Onslow born Dec 4th, 1893 at Woodleigh,
New Plymouth, NZ. Died Jun 8th, 1981 at Palmerston North, NZ
and was buried Jun 10th at Kelvin Grove, Palmerston, NZ. Married
Lillian Laura Larcombe April 17th, 1922 at Patea, NZ. (3 sons
and 1 daughter)
(6). Hector William born Dec
4th, 1895 at New Plymouth, NZ. Died Jan 27th 1989 on Waiheke
Island, NZ and was cremated in Auckland and buried with his wife
at Te Awamutu Cemetery Te Awamutu, NZ. Married Tressie Busby
on Apr 22nd, 1921 at St Marys, New Plymouth, NZ. Tressie was
born Apr 21st, 1894 at Omata Rd, New Plymouth, NZ. and died Jan
6th, 1978. (2 sons and 2 daughters) note: Roger Shirley's grandparents.
(7). Violet Anne Winifred born
Sep 5th, 1897 Barrett Rd, New Plymouth, NZ. Died Dec 10th, 1976.
Married Frederick James Woller Dec 20th, 1916 at Oaonui, Taranaki,
NZ.
(8). Ralph David born Aug 16th,
1899, Barratt Rd, New Plymouth, NZ. Died Jun 6th, 1979. Married
Elizabeth Emily Gilmer on Jul 11th, 1919 at Opunake, Taranaki,
NZ. Elizabeth was born Jun 5th, 1896 and died Jan 9th, 1946.

I have just seen your site regarding the Shirley family. My father
Alan Shirley passed away just a couple of weeks ago so I was
trying to get to know a lot more about my fathers side of the
family.
While looking at your site I found details about my grandfather
Ralph Shirley and I was wondering if my email and the following
information could be passed on to the person concerned with that
side of the family.
