Richard Shirley, fisherman of Spanish Town St Catherine Parish. He married Eleanor Smith at Spanish Town in 1869 by a Methodist Minister; He was identified as the father of children baptized in the Methodist faith in St Catherine and in the Roman Catholic faith by 1872. He died sometime prior to his wife's death in 1905.

Named as the mother of children baptized in the Methodist faith in St Catherine Parish and in the Catholic faith in 1872; She died on 10 July 1905 a resident of Salt Island Road Spanish Town St Catherine Parish, named widow of Richard Shirley, age about 75 (born about 1830). The informant at the time of her death was her son Zachariah Shirley of the same address

He died 22 March 1933, a resident of Duncan Pen St Catherine Parish, widower, about age 83 (sic), fisherman

married Jane Ann Roberts on 9 January 1901 at Spanish Town St Catherine, the daughter of William Roberts of Dundan Pen, St Catherine; She died on 26 July 1931, age 72, wife of Zachariah Shirley, fisherman, residence Race Course St Catherine. Husband Zachariah Shirley was the informant at death
