The Shirley Association has been a member of the Guild of One-Name Studies since 1988
  Research
Archive

Prior to launching the Shirley Association website in 1998, all genealogical information was available only to subscribing members via newsletter. But since 1998, the Shirley Association has provided access online to its research archive at no cost to the general public. As a result, membership in the Shirley Association has dwindled. Please understand that the Shirley Association is not a profitable venture. In fact, it is largely otherwise. We would like to plan for the future and make the Association as strong as it can be, so we are now once again restricting much of the research data to paid members of the Association. We hope you will join in supporting our research efforts. It's only $20 per year.
