1. Johann Ludwig Shally
born before 1700 in Germany, died after 1755 Lebanon, Lancaster
County Pennsylvania. He married Anna Margaretha Wilhelm Nov 28,
1719 Marienthal, Pfalz Germany.
Rootsweb Posting: Ludwig Shally was forester of Naussau.
He shot Ludwig Mehl during the forest dispute between the cowherders
of Kirchheimbolanden on the one side and Ruppertsecken and Marienthal

S303. Ludwig very possibly emigrated to America on account of
these affairs. Ludwig Shally and his wife came to Lancaster Co,
PA (now Lebanon Co) in 1743.

In 1751 Ludwig SHALLY was granted 100 acres in Lebanon Twp.,
Lancaster County, adjoining Jacob BRENHEISEN and Philip BOYER.
During the period of 1799-1804 there were numerous deeds of sale
of Ludwig SHALLY's original land grant. It is stated in a deed
dated 20 March 1801 that, "Ludwick SHALLY lately died Intestate
leaving Issue, to wit, Adam SHALLY, John SHALLY, Christian SHALLY,
Baltzer SHALLY, Lucas SHALLY, Catharina the Wife of Peter SMITH
and Anna Maria SHALLY."

in Pennsylvania. He married Anna Esther____?, arrived on the
ROBERT & ALICE in 1739 from Germany. He was naturalized as
Charles Shally in 1761 in Lancaster Co Pennsylvania.

him 5 children of whom 3 survive, was a widow 2 years. 1759 married
2 time to JACOB SPRECHER & bore him 4 children. 3 are living.
Remained a widow. sick 8 days. 78 years, 7 months & 12 days.
