(3). Mary SHIRLEY 1720 Ireland d. 1792, m. James Wilson
died April 16, 1791, son of James and Susan Wilson. He d. April
16, 1791 Chester.
(4). Martha SHIRLEY 1722 m. Alexander Gilchrist 1757. He
was the son of Robert and Agnes (Kelso) Gilchrist.
They moved to Shirley Hill in
Goffstown in 1760-3.
(5). John SHIRLEY 1724 died Aug 22, 1773 Roxbury, MA. He
was a butcher & victualer. They lived Roxbury MA.
In his will dated Aug 21, 1773
proved Aug 27, 1773 he left a mansion house, barn and other building
and about five acres of land valued at 466 pounds, a Negro man
40 pounds, Negro woman and child 42 pounds, Negro boy 20 pounds
to his wife. Upon her second marriage, this all came into the
possession of Nathaniel Jennison who was already rich. Thus John
the son was deprived of his inheritance.

27, 1808 Goffstown New Hampshire (aged 80) He moved to Goffstown
in 1761 and settled upon Shirley Hill on land purchased from
John and Mary Holmes for the sum of 2600 pounds (old tenor).
Deacon Thomas was prominent in the affairs of the town, one of
those commissioned to buy powder, lead and flints in 1774, and
later was one of a committee appointed by the town to see that
the quota was full. Served under two different enlistments
in the Revolutionary service and took an active part in
town affairs in he days of the Revolution. He adhered to his
Presbyterian faith like all the other Scotch-Irish emigrants,
but united with the Congregational Church in 1801, See

Capt. James Shirley) ca 1752. She died May 10,1820 aged 93.
(8). Daniel SHIRLEY may be the following person: (note
the following person cannot be Daniel, son of John Shirley (b
1735) who died much later in Warren Co PA)
A Daniel Shirley was born about
1760 in Chester NH. In 1775, he was a minor over age 15 "son
of John Shirley, Chester, yeoman dec'd" and chose Joseph
Lynn as his guardian. Enlisted in old Capt. Emerson's Company
and enlisted again July 1, 1780 and again July 1, 1781. He was
of Chester in 1781 when he sold land "of my hon'd father
John Shirla of Chester deceased" to William Shirla of Chester.He
went to West Chester, now Hill, NH.. Daniel next appears in New
Chester records (now Hill Township) in Grafton Co NH
