May not have had any surviving children

1(ii). Catherine Sherley deceased before father's 1861 will. Married Thomas Boone

1(iii). Kiziah Sherley died May 1856 in Randolph Co. She is deceased before father's 1861 will. Married Thomas Ozmore of Randolph Co

July Term 1874 Reports of Cases in Law and Equity, Argued and Determined in the Supreme Court of Georgia - Ozmore vs. Hood & Kiddoo - September 1st, 1856, Thomas Ozmore was appointed guardian for his children by the ordinary of Randolph county. A considerable sum of money (the evidence fails to disclose the exact amount,) had been previously turned over to him fey his father-in-law in trust for his wife and children. His wife died in May, 1856. He married a second time, but a separation ensued, and a libel for divorce was filed. On September 1st, 1871, he executed an instrument in Russell county, Alabama, reciting that in consideration of $3,325 00, held in trust by him for his children, Martha A. Duke, John T. Ozmore and Richard Ozmore, deceased, under a deed of trust from their grandfather, Nathan F. Shirley, he relinquished to them all his right to the lot in controversy.

1(iv). Elizabeth Sherley deceased before father's 1861 will. Married Everett J. Pearce (his first name identified by matching children's names mentioned in father's will and 1850 census, and also later probate records)

2014 Email from Phil: Both Everett J Pearce and his wife, Elizabeth Sharley/Shirley/Sherley, died sometime after the 1850 Census and 1856, when the Probate Records state that they died without leaving a will. However, after over two years of searching, I have not been able to ascertain the cause(s) of their respective passings. There is no known headstone for them at the Sharon Methodist Church Cemetary in Randolph County, GA, but there are numerous other Pearce graves there.
