1772 Richmond Co GA - William Shirley with dower by his wife, Elizabeth, of St. Paul Parish, a deed signed April 9, 1772 to Francis Stringer, 100 acres on McBean Creek. Wit. Deverix Jarrett and Joseph Bell.

1(i). (likely) Reuben Shirley He apparently held Elizabeth Shirley's 200 acres of land on Dry Creek Jefferson Co GA in 1806, granted to him by 'E. Shurley'. Reuben disappears from Jefferson Co records after 1805/6

1(ii). William S. Shurley He is possibly holding Reuben Shirley's 200 acres in 1812 when he is taxed on 200 acres on Dry Creek in Jefferson Co and also 115 acres on McBean's Creek in Burke county (which may have been the 115 ac on McBean's Cr in Burke Co granted to Martin Shirley in 1785. The grantor of both tracts to William Shirley of Jefferson Co was "Sherly".
